Just wondering because I really can't stand drinking. It tastes like shit, and most people i know that drink often are depressed while the other ones do it because they are too scared to talk to girls when they aren't drunk. Do you think you are addicted to drinking? Does it make you feel better?
Wow, you have a lot of preconceived notions about drinking eh? I'm sorry to hear most of the people you know sound like alcoholics or use alcohol as an outlet to get out of their shithole called life.
I drink because I enjoy the taste of a rum and coke.. a little soco and lime. I don't drink beer because its definitely a taste I never acquired. Having a buzz feels good and usually leads to a good time for all so I don't see the problem.
I only drink socially once/twice or less per week so no, I'm not addicted and I have no problem. I suppose it might take your mind off things for awhile, but usually just being out and having a good time w/ or w/o alcohol does that in itself.

At your age you have not acquired a taste for any alcohol - you only drink to get fucked up - when I drink I like to get a buzz and feel good - but I don't enjoy getting absolutely wasted - if I am out and start to feel like I am getting too wasted I put a little powder on my gums and it knocks the overly drunk feeling off - I am 35 - in my mid 20's I really started to like the taste of beer - now I love red wine - I could drink a bottle a night and love every drop - I've got a friend who loves single malt scotch - if you smell this shit you'd swear it was gasoline - but he loves it - your young and in college and only drink to get obliterated - that's what you do at that age.
Levistep although you sound like a pompous ass in your initial post, I will say that alcohol is by far the most overrated thing in the world. I drink on average probably 3-5 beers a month. I do enjoy having a beer when I feel like one, but getting drunk is, well, way overrated.
